Introduction to the College of Management
(I) Positioning and Current Status
The College of Management was established in August 2005. At present, it comprises three departments: the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Information Management, and the Department of Marketing and Logistics Management. The Department of Business Administration also offers a Master’s Program in Human Resource Management.
The College actively develops the unique strengths of its departments and graduate program, with an educational mission centered on professional competence, practical innovation, business ethics, and a global vision. The goal is to cultivate outstanding management professionals who are dedicated, collaborative, diligent, and highly employable by industries, while striving to become an excellent institution of management education.
In addition, the College aims to nurture professional managerial talents at the junior and intermediate levels, equipped with creativity, information literacy, and practical skills to meet the needs of regional industries. The College envisions becoming an outstanding academic unit that integrates industry and academia in Central Taiwan, focusing on competency-based training to cultivate specialized managerial professionals.
To implement and advance the development features of the College and its three departments and one graduate program, the College actively integrates resources to promote "Smart Business," with the aim of cultivating innovative and entrepreneurial management elites. It has also strengthened the teaching infrastructure for smart business and developed courses in areas such as smart business, digital creative marketing, e-commerce applications, IoT applications, e-commerce influencers, and various business management subjects. Moreover, the College has established a smart business learning environment, launched maker-oriented micro-courses, enhanced exploratory education centers, promoted overseas internships and study tours, expanded international perspectives for faculty and students, improved industry-academia research collaboration, and emphasized the effectiveness of experiential learning. These educational goals support the College’s mission and help define its role in cultivating professional management talents.
